American Black Wyandottes

Originating from black sports of the silver laced variety, black Wyandottes became a standard in 1893. It seems that similar to the whites, the black Wyandotte has also found favor by judges. This in turn has had a positive affect on this variety making them desirable to exhibitors. When the black is correct it will exhibit a “lustrous greenish black” that will be sure to catch your eye. Even though this variety is devoid of flashy lacing or patterns, black Wyandottes still are an impressive bird that must be seen in up close and personal to truly appreciate. Even though our line of black Wyandottes still needs a little bit of fine tuning, we know that you will take pride in ownership of these fine birds. The black Wyandottes would make an awesome breeding project as well as a good choice for your 4-H or F.F.A. or A.P.A shows.
